Hello blog friends!
So I am kind of getting the hang of this whole blogging thing. Took me 20 minutes instead of an hour to get my photos up tonight! Yay for efficiency. Anyhow, let’s get to today’s eats. This morning, I woke up hungry. I tried a bag of Chai Tea that had been in the back of my cupboard for a long time.
Eh. Wasn’t my fave. It was OK, but didn’t really pack enough of a spicy punch- it was actually a little sweet for me. I was a little hungrier this morning, and listened to my tummy, so I had 2 pieces of exekiel bread instead of 1 like yesterday, 1 whole egg plus 1 egg white. I sprinkled some feta on it at the end, but the feta was kind of dry, so it wasn’t the greatest addition. I also had some pineapple and 2 figs on the side. Yum!
Here is a closeup beauty shot of my breakfast sammie (w/ ketchup and hot sauce):
After breakfast, I did some law school application work and went to the gym just in time for The View. Man, in my time off I am turning into such an old lady- and I love it :). I did 20 minutes on the bike and 30 on the elliptical because this is my last week of having lots of time for the gym. I also did some stretching and ab and back strengthening. I have neck issues, so there are special exercises that I have from a physical therapist to strengthen the muscles around my injury.
At the gym (I go the YMCA), there was this obnoxious woman on the elliptical yapping on her cell phone about her son’s Bar Mitzvah and their great Rabbi, yaddah, yadah, yaddah. Don’t you just hate that? After about 15 minutes of loud conversation, the women next to her mumbled something to each other. She overheard them and said “If you want me to get off the phone, just ask nicely. Don’t talk about me.” So I, being just a few machines away said, “I would like you to get off the phone. Its disruptive to everyone.” Well, she got off the phone then but came over to me as I was leaving and tried to lecture me about talking to people with respect. I said, “If you show people respect by asking them if its OK for you to speak on the phone, then maybe you can expect the same treatment back. But if not, why should we show you respect when asking you to get off?’ She continued arguing with me, and because I didn’t want a fight, I walked away. I hate super aggressive people like that!
By the time I got home and showered, I was huuungry. I made a delicious combo of a BBQ Sunshine burger, a Trader Joe’s flax wrap, a piece of light cheddar cheese (melted), banana peppers, onion, tomatoes, hot sauce and mustard. With a side of raw broccoli and cuke (topped with a the last bit of Annie’s light honey mustard dressing).

I also had one of my delicious sparkling concoctions. If you missed it yesterday, POM cherry + seltzer + lime.
I wanted something sweet, and these babies were calling out to me from the fridge:
They are addictive, so I had to have my daily dose. I had two.
This afternoon, I had two snacks, spread out. I tried a JamFraka bar for the first time…
It was good, not my fave. The texture was a little strange to me. I still liked it, though. They have all natural ingredients including brown rice for a little crunch.
Before I went into the city (Manhattan) around 5:30, I had a juicy and delicious Pink Apple. I love these but I have been eating so many of them lately, I’m getting a little tired of them… so pretty, though.
I cam home around 7:45 to this:
Yum! I love sweet potatoes fries, especially with lots of spices. Loren made them just perfect :). I sauted some TJ ‘s Wild Turbot Filet that had been defrosting in the fridge. It was good! A little fishy, but good.
I over served myself just a little… I ate all of the fries and about 2/3 of the fish. We also had a delicious salad with EVOO and balsamic.
Spinach, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, and cremini mushrooms. No matter how hard I try, I have trouble liking raw mushrooms. 😦
Ate all but most of the ‘shrooms. Alright all, I am off to hang with the bf and kitties. I have a fun post planned for tomorrow so please tune in! Goodnight to all, hope you have a relaxing evening!
