Hope you enjoyed the video this morning. It makes me happy every time I watch it… and I’m not going to disclose how many that is!
For breakfast this morning, I had a cup of tea (the usual, sorry…. no picture) and a bowl of Kashi Autumn Wheat Cereal with half a banana, rice milk, golden raisins, and 2 figs.
A little aside about bananas… if you are trying to watch your portions or shed some pounds, this is a little tip I learned from a nutritionist a while back. Try only using half a banana with your cereal or oatmeal. You can always eat the other half later in the day for a snack with some peanut butter, or the next day with breakfast. Of course, these are just my tips, I am not an RD or a registered nutritionist- I just wanted to tell you what works for me. I find it just as satisfying and don’t need the other half.
This afternoon, there were guys working in my kitchen, patching up the wall, so I had three minutes to make lunch and get out. I knew I needed something from my freezer. I tried an Amy’s “pocket”- spinach and feta, that has been sitting in the freezer for a while.
I had dipped it in a labne (yogurt) and hot sauce mixture. It was really good. I would buy these again! They only have about 260 calories, so I bulked up the meal with some carrots and hummus and the last of a pineapple.
One of my best friends is coming over after work to visit and sleepover. 🙂 So little girl, and I love it! Loren is out of town for three days, and I am really excited to see her and show her our new digs and neighborhood.
We’re going to the Y together (I have free passes) for a workout and then we will probably go to dinner… and maybe veg out on the couch a little! We’ll see. Catch you guys later!
