I feel MUCH BETTER this afternoon. I ate a bit less at every meal and found some lighter choices. This morning I had a granola bar (my bagel was picked up by accident by a waiter ). The granola bar hit the spot though! It was a Cascadian Farm oats and chocolate chip bar from home.
The lunch buffet was filled with hoagie rolls, chicken and steak, and a really cheesy sauce on the side. There was also a nice salad bar. I was not AT ALL in the mood for meat so I piled some salad and a roll on my plate. I was happy to look over to the side of the buffet and see a small vegetarian station with baked tofu! Lifesaver! I made a sandwich of veggies and tofu, with mayo, mustard, and some balsamic dressing.

This was good and filling, but didn’t leave me feeling heavy. Perfect!
After a long day of lectures, I had a great workout: 30 minutes on the elliptical, trying to keep my speed around 6.0 miles and hour at level 6 and then 10 minutes on the treadmill (4.0-4.2 on an incline between 1.5-2.5). I did some strengthening also: light reps (arms) with an 8 pound weight, some bridges to work the glutes, and some planks (holding for 30 seconds at a time). Then I stretched a lot- especially my back. It really needed it. I’m not used to sitting all day!
