I was sooo tired when I woke up this morning, but dragged myself to the gym- and afterwards, I was so happy I did! I have much more energy once I have exerted some- isn’t it weird how that happens?
I ate half of a banana before I left. I did 25 minutes on a cross training machine (so hard- like hiking!), 5 minutes cool down on the treadmill, 15 minutes of weights, and a 5 minute stretch. When I was on the cross trainer, I used a little trick that helps me when a workout is really tough. I started out saying, I’ll only do this for 10 minutes to warm up. At 10 minutes, I said 5 minutes more; At 15, I said 5 minutes more, and so on. When I reached 25 minutes, I was very proud and felt great for really pushing my body, especially my heart and my lungs!
I was dreaming of one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches on my walk home: A Morningstar veggie “sausage” patty and a sunny side up egg on whole wheat bread….so that’s what I had!
With hot sauce (obviously) and ketchup.
Such a perfect combo.
