With all the stress I’ve been feeling lately, I just wanted some comfort food this morning. I was catching up on some of my favorite food blogs and saw Caroline’s breakfast post from yesterday- and I realized exactly what I wanted: a bagel!
Picked this baby up on the way to work…
I ordered a Whole Wheat Everything Bagel (yes, they have them here!) with a little bit of chive cream cheese and tomato. I don’t like a lot of cream cheese at all. For some reason, the texture of thick cream cheese makes me gag (sorry to be so detailed!). I even ended up taking a bunch off of this bagel because it was a little too much for me. But I loooove the taste! And chive + everything bagel + tomato is THE BEST combination.
Plus, and I hate to say it, NYC bagels are #1!
I ate this beauty with a hot mug off tea at work. It was scrumptious (<– such a great word, need to use it more often!).
I was a little worried that, being so carb heavy and lacking a lot of protein, this breakfast wouldn’t hold me over very well. But, 4 hours later, I’m still not ready for lunch- at all. So it did the trick!
I’m hoping to get some work done this afternoon and go to the gym for a very light workout- just to get moving. Then, I have to be at work from 6-9. I will see you later for more good eats!
