So, I realized that in the last day, I’ve eaten almost all of my meals in bowls with a nice big spoon. I guess that’s what happens when fall comes, right? We want nice, hearty meals.
Last night, after posting my stew dinner, I had some dessert! First, a sliced orange.
It was amazingly juicy, tart, and sweet all at the same time. I love citrus season!
Around 9:30, I was still hungry for something sweet, and I thought of the Tasti-Delight froyo I had in the fridge- oreo peanut butter to be exact. I had a small cup with some craisins and 1/2 of a healthy oreo crumbled on top. It was sooo good!
I ate this baby while watching Gossip Girl- man, that show is getting crazy.
For breakfast this morning, I brought a container of goodness to work: cottage cheese, 1/2 a banana, and some apricot jam on top.
‘Twas a lot! I ate about 1/3 and left the rest for a post-lunch snack.
Speaking of lunch, that was also eaten in a bowl with a big spoon. I just had leftover stew with a little bit of brown rice mixed in. I was really craving a sandwich, but, because I had packed a delicious, healthy, and FREE lunch, I didn’t give into my craving. It was still very good.
I had two meetings this afternoon, one in Midtown East at 3:50 and one in Midtown West at 5. I ran from one to the other (literally- no car or bus)… and basically ate dinner at my meeting which ran from 5-8.
There was a fruit plate with pineapple, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, and grapes- and I ate a TON of it. I also had about 10 crackers with cheese and a few spicy nuts. It was definitely enough! I didn’t take any pictures because… well, you understand… I’m fine doing it at work or at restaurants but not in front of these highly successful + impressive professionals I’m speaking in front of for the first time!
Now I’m off to…. do nothing I hope! I’m looking forward to reading more of my book before I hit the sack. It’s really good- and perfect for this time of self exploration in my life!
Goodnight!
Mmmm … stew makes for great leftovers. I am totally more of a leftover kind of girl, than a sandwich girl, so I find it funny that you were craving a sandwich 🙂
I haven’t had pineapple in a while, need to get some. But I also have been enjoying oranges like it is my job lately! My dogs love them too and are always trying to snick some when I cut one up!!
Stew looks delish….
