Hi guys,
OK, I hate stage-moms who put their cute little babies in pageants, into modeling, etc., but I am mildly obsessed with how handsome my little (fur) babies are. And I take lots of pictures of them. To post on the internet.
Does that make me a future stage-mom?! 🙂
Well, I took a pretty cool serious of Buzz today… It’s not hard, he’s very photogenic, obviously- hes my child! 😉
OK, now onto food…
I’ve kind of had a “bottomless pit” day- I’ve been very hungry all day- but I’ve tried to stay healthy in all of my choices and drink lots of water.
For breakfast, I had a waffle sandwich with PB, apricot jam, and 1/2 a banana. I actually put it in my bag and ate it once I got to work.
I was REALLY hungry around 12, but wanted to wait to eat lunch at home at 2, so I ate a teaspoon more of PB (just plain) at work… kind of weird, but it did the trick and held me over.
When I finally got home, I was haaangry (hungry + angry) and ready for a nice, hearty lunch. Being the sandwich addict that I am, I used one of the TJ’s chicken sausages that we opened last night to make a new, delicious combo. I cut a sausage in half and grilled it on a pan and then laid it between 2 pieces of Quinoa bread slathered in the world’s BEST mustard:
If you have never tried this mustard, go do yourself a favor… buy some!! It went really nicely with the flavors of the sausage.
I still felt it needed a little something more, so I ended up adding some spicy banana peppers to it- it was perfect!
I had some raw veggies on the side, which I dipped in Annie’s balsamic vinaigrette.
An hour after lunch, I was hungry AGAIN! In these kinds of situations, when I am hungry but I know I don’t need food, I try to go for something that is healthy, light in calories, but filling. I looked around for something that fell into this category, and saw some TJ’s popcorn, so I popped it in the microwave. At 130 calories for a whole bag it was the ideal snack for today.
I’m going to rest a bit and hopefully get some law school work done before I have to be back at work tonight to teach.
See you guys later!
oh stage moms….i’m sure you’d never force your cat to do some of the things i’ve seen stage moms make their kids do…
hahaha…. i’m sure you’ve seen some RIDICULOUS stuff! bet you have some great stories…
Those days happen to everyone huh? Looks like you made some awesome choices though. Banana peppers! That’s what my sandwich was missing today 🙂 And I love the pics of your cat, keep em coming. You can be a proud mom without being an overbearing stage mom 😉
Awe, I miss my kitty! Cute pics 🙂
