I have had such a weird eating day… I haven’t been hungry at all, which is very strange for me. I’m a firm believer in eating when you are hungry, so I didn’t push myself to eat big meals, just enough to get me through the day.
I worked out on the elliptical for 30 minutes this morning, stretched, and came back home- but I could not bring myself to eat a real breakfast. Instead, I just had a small Gl0- bar (the Run bar) and head to work. Around 11, I was finally hungry. I walked across the street to a deli, where I ordered an egg and cheese on whole wheat. It was only $2.50 with a complimentary tea. A good deal, if you ask me!
It was really cheesy, like American-cheese gooey cheesy….
I also had an organge for some vitamins!
When I got home this afternoon on my break from work, I was not hungry at all, so I just waited until I felt ready for lunch. Around 3, I made a light lunch of 1/2 a whole wheat pita with humus, 1/4 of an avocado, some chopped tomato with feta, and lefotver roast asparagus from last night. I drizzled the vegetables in Sherry Vinegar that my mom brought me from Spain. It was really good!
This was the last of the amazing, creamy humus we got at Damascus Bakery about 10 days ago. We got a huge container, but we go through this stuff fast!
Lunch was really fun to eat. I wrapped the different veggie salads into the pita and all of the flavors went really nicely together.
Around 5:30, before I headed back to work to teach from 6-9, I had a Tj’s yogurt with some Pumpkin granola sprinkled in.
Honestly, when I got home around 9:45, I was not at all interested in food. I listened to my body and just munched on some TJ’s cheese-its dipped in cream-cheese while catching up on some emails and BLOGGING!
Not a real dinner, I know, but I will be back to normal eating tomorrow, I’m sure!
