Even though it looks like this outside:
(Snowing… cant really see it here!)…
We’re headed to the airport tonight to see if our flight will take off for Argentina! We’re going on a big family trip, with my parents and sisters. It has been a long time since have all traveled abroad together-about 10 years, so I am really excited! It is summer down there!! We’ve been planning this trip for about six months and we’ll be in Buenos Aires and Patagonia. I will do my best to keep blogging regularly about all of the great food and wine I expect to be consuming. Cross your fingers that we get out tonight!
PS I had a breakfast burrito this morning . . .
Good fuel for flying!
UPDATE:Β We are stuck at airport- blizzard is full on. Our flight has been delayed until 11:30 tomorrow morning, though I am sure it will be delayed even further because the storm isn’t supposed to end until early tomorrow afternoon. All the hotels in the area are booked and the roads too bad to drive on . . . so AIRPORT SLUMBER PAAARTAYY!!!
I am crossing my fingers for you and your family that your flight leaves on time and safely!!! Can’t wait to read about your vacation adventures, have a lovely trip girl π
Oooh that burrito looks good! Good luck with your flight.

you breakfast burritos are on my menu tomorrow morning! i hope you get to leave soon; try to keep your spirits up while you wait. as my dau likes to say about upcoming unknowns: “it will either go off wonderfully or it will SUCK; either way, it makes for a good story.” π gotta love that attitude!
So true!! Its all about the adventure!

Hope you get out soon. I wish I was going to Argentina. Your breakfast burrito looks sooooo good.
I guess I should have said, “I hope you got out soon…”. Time delay. Oops.
Dear Kat
What a wonderful trip! You must be there by now, warm and sun drenched on New Years Eve. Take a tango lesson while you are there, enjoy all the wonders of what music can do for the body.
I’m glad your family can all be together, exploring a new place and making new memories. I’m excited to see your pics of food and the color of everything.
Warm wishes for the new year.
Georgia

Hey Kat,
My hubby and I are thinking of going to New York city for the first time this Easter break. I was wondering if you would be able to suggest a good hotel(s) or a location that would be best for tourists to stay to be within walking distance of the attractions (Time’s Square, etc.)
Any information at all would be helpful!! We are looking at booking flights and a hotel within the next month or so.
